Greiner’s writings on education are intended to mirror (however poorly) those of numerous critics that I had to read while in school. David Tyack’s introduction to his book The One Best System provided some inspiration as did Jane Bernard Powers’s The “Girl Question” in Education: Vocational Education for Young Women in the Progressive Era. Also, a reviewer prompted me to reconsider including the information about the researcher (something that I lost in the reformatting), and I’m planning on adding back in her storyline. So, be looking for these bonus chapters to be added sometime early next week.
